The PRI is delighted to invite credit analysts and portfolio managers to the third in a series of global events for fixed income investors to be held in San Francisco on January 29 2018.

Demand for responsible investment (RI) in fixed income continues to grow as institutional investors take a more holistic approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration across asset classes, and as the quality and availability of ESG data facilitates more robust integration. Responsible investment is now undeniably a priority for the world’s largest institutional investors which are using the six Principles for Responsible Investment as a way of managing credit risk, unlocking value, and driving positive impact alongside financial returns.

This full-day event will highlight the importance of ESG issues in assessing issuer creditworthiness, and showcase best practices in ESG integration for credit analysts and portfolio managers.

Agenda topics include:

  • The business case: why implement RI in your fixed income portfolio, and why now?
  • ESG integration in practice: embedding ESG factors into corporate bond analysis and credit ratings
  • Engaging with issuers to manage ESG risk and enhance risk-adjusted returns
  • ESG and muni bonds: case studies on identifying and managing ESG risk

Delegates will also get a chance to learn more about the PRI’s current and future work as well as key industry trends.

You can access recordings of the previous PRI fixed income event in Boston 2015 here as well as details on the PRI’s fixed income programme and latest publications here. For enquiries, please contact the fixed income team via email FI@unpri.org.

The PRI may limit the number of attendees per organisation as we expect a high level of interest in this event.
