The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is pleased to launch ESG risk management in the supply chain: a how to guide. It aims to empower private equity, infrastructure and real estate investors to improve the risk profile of their portfolios and maximise their returns by investing in companies that effectively manage their supply chains.
Companies are increasingly expected to understand and manage their exposure to ESG risks in the supply chain. If unidentified and unmanaged, these issues can cause environmental and social damage and severe harm to the reputations, operations and financial performance of investee companies and their investors. However, investors don’t often systematically or explicitly articulate their expectations for how investee companies should manage ESG risks and opportunities in their supply chains. Join this event for a discussion on why and how investors can engage with their portfolio companies to understand and mitigate these risks, including an overview of the guidance.
