As sustainable finance has become inextricably integrated into the EU’s vision of a Capital Markets Union, the attention of policymakers and stakeholders has turned to the details of implementation. Sustainable innovation is a process where sustainability considerations (environmental, social, financial) are integrated into company systems from idea generation through to research and development (R&D) and commercialisation. This applies to products, services and technologies, as well as new business and organisation models. Innovative business models need the support of innovative yet sustainable financial systems, able to embed environmental, social and governance considerations.
Addressing an audience of global investors and their advisors, investment industry influencers, policymakers, and the media as part of Invest Week, the panel discussion will focus on unveiling the implications of key determinants in Europe today, such as the future of ESG reporting, labelling, the role of the EU in shaping regulation and how they connect with the work of the HLEG.
